Time to heat up the Julián Javier! Águilas announce starters for the opener
Joan Adón will start this Friday against our Giants in San Francisco de Macorís, as announced by Águilas manager Pipe Urueta.

My wonderful people of our beloved San Francisco de Macorís community in the diaspora, get your jacket and flag ready because winter baseball is already here. The Águilas Cibaeñas have warmed up their engines for the new season and their manager, Luis "Pipe" Urueta, dropped the details of the first matchups that will have all the fans having a blast. For this Friday's big opening game, the yellow squad will visit our glorious Julián Javier Stadium right here in San Francisco de Macorís to face our Gigantes del Cibao. The pitcher in charge of taking the mound for this first duel will be pitcher Joan Adón, who arrives with recent experience after seeing action in Mexico with the Calientes de Durango. The party will continue on Saturday, when the Águilas return home to the Cibao Stadium to host the Toros del Este, entrusting the pitching duties to right-hander Gerson Garabito. During a press meeting held in Santiago, manager Urueta made it clear that the goal this year is to surpass what was done in the past season and chase that longed-for twenty-third crown for the yellow cause.
