Virgilio Almánzar proposes human rights workshop in San Francisco
The president of CDDH met with General Olivence Minaya to promote a training space between police officers and community members in the Duarte province.

My lovely people of our beloved San Francisco de Macorís in the diaspora, we bring you piping hot news straight from our land of the Jaya. Our dear Virgilio Almánzar, who heads the Dominican Human Rights Committee, stepped up by meeting with the Northeast regional director of the National Police, General Orison Olivence Minaya.
During this encounter on francomacorisana soil, Almánzar laid the proposal on the table for the general to put together a tremendous workshop that brings together law enforcement officers, community and religious leaders, students, and even folks from grassroots organizations. The main idea is to sit down and share experiences up close regarding human rights and how to improve the citizen security that matters so much to all of us.
For his part, General Olivence Minaya welcomed the delegation from the Duarte province and asked the committee for a helping hand to keep polishing the officers' professionalism. Although the exact date hasn't been set yet, this gathering seeks to find a way toward the well-being of our people and strengthen ties between the community and the law enforcement institution in the beautiful Cibao valley.
