UASD SFM honors Senator Franklin Romero at autism symposium

My beautiful people from our beloved San Francisco de Macorís, our dear Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), San Francisco Campus, celebrated in grand style this past Friday, October 9th, the important symposium titled "From suspicion to certainty: diagnostic route and integrated management of autism and ADHD". This great event took place in the Maestra Ana Luisa Arias assembly hall, as part of Health Week activities, thanks to the organization of the Research and Postgraduate Unit with the valuable support of Public Health. During the gathering, prominent specialists from various areas shared valuable knowledge on evaluation, accompaniment, and medical and educational care for people with these conditions. One of the most special moments of the day was the well-deserved recognition that the academy bestowed upon our Senator Franklin Romero, approved by the campus Board of Directors. General Director Rosa Francia Burgos, along with Postgraduate Coordinator Judith Martínez Alonzo, highlighted his tireless social work, his support for the Cibao Rehabilitation Board, and the creation of the Farrell Martín Romero school in Vista al Valle. Upon receiving the distinction from the hands of his very own *francomacorisana* community, the lawmaker thanked them for the gesture and emphasized the importance of serving others. He also took the opportunity to remind everyone that he remains firm in his legislative commitment, pushing for a bill to provide the assistance and financial support that the families of our Duarte province who struggle day by day with these neurodevelopmental conditions so richly deserve.
