Our homeland shined with the 9th International Siglo 21-UCNE Congress, bringing together 73 experts to talk about comprehensive cancer care.
My wonderful people from San Francisco de Macorís who follow us from New York and the world, our beloved Cuestona keeps making great waves in healthcare. Last Saturday, October 10th, the 9th International Siglo 21-UCNE Congress concluded with total success, a high-level event that put our city on the international map of medicine. Organized by the Centro Médico Docente Siglo 21 and the Universidad Católica Nordestana, the gathering took place for three days at the Gran Teatro Regional del Nordeste. There, 73 national and international specialists came together, along with hundreds of health professionals, to discuss prevention, early diagnosis, and treatments against cancer. The event featured very emotional moments, like the panel on the patient's journey, which included the special participation of our beloved Fefita La Grande. In addition, tribute was paid to outstanding figures and institutions of the Northeast region for their great work in the healthcare area and support for patients. To close with a flourish, Dr. Ramón Mena Rivas thanked everyone present and announced that the next edition, the tenth, will be dedicated to urology and nephrology, proving that our people continue to bet on continuous medical education.
