Police operations claim the life of a man in San Francisco de Macorís
Seven alleged criminals die in clashes with the police across the country, including a case right in our homeland.

My dear people of the San Francisco de Macorís community abroad, tension is palpable in our beloved Dominican Republic following a series of police operations that have sparked debate over security and the use of force in various parts of the national territory.
According to data gathered by the newspaper Diario Libre from official reports, during the first eight days of October, seven deaths of alleged criminals were recorded in supposed shootouts with police authorities.
These events took place in various regions of the country, covering locations such as Barahona, San Pedro de Macorís, Santo Domingo East, San Cristóbal, Santiago, and, unfortunately, our beloved cradle of Duarte.
In our hometown, the most recent case took place on a Tuesday, October 6, when Yunior Alfonso Tineo, popularly known as "la Changa", lost his life. His death occurred after the prior release of a video pointing him out.
These episodes add to a month of September that closed with high numbers in this type of incidents, while our people closely follow everything happening in our homeland from a distance.
