Mourning in SFM: Medical community supports Dr. Odalis Hernández

The medical community of San Francisco de Macorís has united in a deep embrace of solidarity with Dr. Odalis Hernández Núñez, following the painful passing of his beloved son, Darlyn Enmanuel Hernández, which occurred this past Tuesday, October 6, 2026. The local branches of the Dominican Medical College and the Dominican Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology publicly expressed their sorrow. Both institutions sent their condolences to family members and loved ones, raising prayers to ask for strength and comfort during this difficult time for the entire Hernández family. The renowned physician, who is also part of the board of directors of the medical union in the Duarte province, shared the sad news and specially thanked the expressions of respect and the support received from colleagues, patients, and friends during his mourning. The funeral services for the young man took place on francomacorisano soil. His remains were viewed at the Las Mercedes Funeral Home and his burial took place the following day, Wednesday, October 7, while his novena was scheduled at the Santa Ana Cathedral.
