In our city of Jaya, a serious case came to light after a 23-year-old young woman showed up on the morning of Sunday, October 11th, at the National Police to ask for help regarding a situation of domestic violence. 🛑
The complainant recounted that her romantic partner, a 50-year-old man, constantly assaulted her physically. Furthermore, she stated that he kept her locked inside his residence to prevent her from leaving and going to the authorities to file a formal complaint. 🔓
Responding to the call, officers from the Specialized Directorate for Women's Care and Domestic Violence came to her aid and referred her to the Gender Violence and Sexual Offenses Unit of the Public Ministry. ⚖️
The young woman was provided with medical assistance and sheltered in a safe house to protect her well-being. To date, official bodies have not reported any legal measures against the accused while the corresponding processes move forward. 🏛️
