The citizen appeared at 11:20 on the morning of Wednesday, October 7, accompanied by his legal representative, lawyer Eusebio Jiménez Celestino, to answer to an arrest warrant against him to execute a final sentence. 📄
The court file indicates that the First Collegiate Tribunal of the Judicial District of Duarte had found him guilty on June 17, 2021, on charges of voluntary homicide and violations related to the use of firearms following the death of Emilio José Faña Abreu. ⚖️
Said sentence was confirmed by the local Court of Appeal and, subsequently, on March 31, 2025, the Supreme Court of Justice ratified the ruling by rejecting the appeal for cassation, which led the Sentence Execution Court to issue the order this past June 2. 📅
