Attention SFM! Traffic operation is urgently needed before December
They call on the City Hall, Intrant, and Digesett to organize traffic and put up street signs in San Francisco de Macorís before Christmas.

My lovely people from San Francisco de Macorís who follow us from New York and all over the United States, back in our homeland the streets need a heavy hand with traffic. The EL JAYA newspaper issued an urgent call to local authorities to bring order before the busy Christmas season arrives.
The main problem is the vehicular chaos and the lack of visibility at corners. Specifically on Presidente Antonio Guzmán Fernández Avenue, many drivers pull over to park right in the middle of the night on the sidewalks and very close to intersections, endangering both drivers and pedestrians walking in the area.
Traffic Law 63-17 is clear in prohibiting parking less than five meters from corners and protecting the sidewalks for everyday pedestrians. That is why the City Council, Intrant, and Digesett are being urged to roll up their sleeves to coordinate operations, paint road signs, and enforce real surveillance, remembering that by the end of 2025 the Duarte province already had almost two hundred thousand vehicles rolling through its streets.
