Attention my people! Three young men surrender to DICRIM in SFM
Three locals from San Francisco de Macorís voluntarily showed up before DICRIM with the backing of Global Human Rights to answer for pending cases.

My lovely people from San Francisco de Macorís, our land keeps giving people something to talk about. This Friday, three guys from our community decided to face the music and presented themselves voluntarily to the DICRIM branch in our Duarte province.
All of this happened with the valuable support of Rebeca Henríquez and the Global Human Rights Foundation. The first to arrive was Ramón Díaz Pérez, nicknamed 'La Boita', who went on his own accord in a separate case to get his papers in order with the justice system.
Then Jordi Pérez Tavárez and Josua Elia Almonte Ortega did the same. In Jordi's case, the agents had visited his house, but he preferred to surrender of his own free will, just like Josua, both supposedly linked to a robbery case that the authorities are already investigating.
Now it only remains to wait for the authorities to do their job while always respecting the law and the presumption of innocence of these guys from our town. We'll keep reporting on everything happening in our beloved province!
