It turns out that the individual named Slater Miguel Celestino Burgos, 32 years old, decided to voluntarily surrender to police authorities through the Northeast Regional Investigation Sub-direction (DICRIM), accompanied by his legal representative.
The man was actively sought to serve a 20-year prison sentence for the crime of voluntary homicide against Emilio José Faña Abreu, in addition to charges for violation of the firearms law.
The sentence, originally issued by the First Collegiate Tribunal of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the Judicial District of Duarte on June 17, 2021, was subsequently ratified by the Supreme Court of Justice.
