Attention my people! Asodemu UASD SFM is hitting the streets for jobs
Asodemu at the UASD campus in San Francisco de Macorís denounces new hires while former employees remain laid off.

My beautiful people from San Francisco de Macorís, our beloved Zona Alta, and the entire Duarte province! Things are heating up right here at the UASD campus, and university employees are up in arms because of the labor situation going on at the state academy. It turns out that Máximo Peralta, who is the Asodemu delegate for our town, along with alternate Hairo Soler, held an official meeting with the general director of the campus, Dr. Rosa Francia Burgos. In this meeting, they gave management a piece of their minds because, as they explained, they don't understand how it's possible that they are bringing in new people to work through a veritable festival of contracts, while there are still local colleagues from San Francisco who were laid off by the Rectorate and dozens of promotions that were left hanging without any explanation. The union folks made it very clear that they recognize if any department needs personnel, but what cannot be condoned is leaving out employees who worked for months. Because of all this mess, Asodemu has already dropped the hammer and announced that they will kick off a plan of struggle and protest to defend the rights of our university working class with tooth and nail. From here, our community on the Creole North American soil and those of us who stay connected to our homeland will keep an eye on how this drama gets resolved. We hope the UASD authorities listen to our people's demands and find fair solutions for everyone affected!
